Students enrolled in the college’s Respiratory Care Program are in the midst of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic as they continue their clinical course work at St. Peter’s Hospital and Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Department Chair Patty Hyland spoke April 2 to Tamani Wooley of Spectrum News about the students’ current role at the hospitals, the ongoing need for respiratory care workers, and the college’s plan to donate PPE and to loan ventilators to the hospitals if needed.
Hyland also spoke March 30 (via FaceTime) with Emily DeFeciani, WRGB CBS 6 reporter, about the students’ current role at the hospitals and why it’s so important for everyone to practice social distancing and stay home.
